Sephora’s Fearless

Hi everyone! How are you?

Sephora is running a charity work (unsure start date). They made a really beautiful shade in a gorgeous red bulleted container similar to its black bullets containing matte and subtle sheen.

This deep berry red shade of lipstick is Rouge cream #100 Fearless.

For every lipstick sold, they will give $10 to Sephora Stands.

When I think of Fearless, I think of Taylor Swift’s Fearless song. I have been wanting a shade called Fearless, but what I have tried would be too bold or bright for me. This feels just right. This shade, I believe is perfect for Autumn season, which is coming soon.

This lipstick is limited edition, but I hope Sephora brings it back after awhile. One sales rep said they will be bringing out other shades as well!

Usually, red shades are too bold for me. I feel like it’s too much for work and daily wear. Few days ago, my mind changed. I’ve been wanting red lips. I found this one, tried it on, and loved it.

This will run you $12.50 (without taxes). They have more shades in black tube, which are not part of the charity. From what I hear, only Sephora stores are selling it. I didn’t find it at JcPennys Sephora and the sales rep at mine had no idea about it.

I wish they had done this for all Sephora’s, JcPenny’s included. But that’s up to them.

I love this lipstick a lot. It’s not too bold, not bright, and makes me comfortable. I feel like I can wear this everyday, even at work, and not be self conscious that I have a popping color on my lips or my head screaming, “MAY DAY! MAY DAY! TOO MUCH! TOO MUCH!

I will be applying this on today and see how it wears. I loved how it wore yesterday, but it was only for a few hours.

Happy Labor Day to all!

Prompts: Continue, Critical, &Priceless

For those surviving aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and overseas hurricane, I wrote a little something after hearing Coldplay’s Houston #1 on the radio. I just finished it today. This is my third day back home. My area didn’t have any major damages or floods compared to others around here. I thank God for that and will continue to pray for those who have so much to do in order to move on from this.

In this Critcal moment, people have lost mant things. Precious Priceless things. It is also sad to know during this fearful moment, many had to worry about looters. My area, like many, is still under curfew.

As we Continue with the aftermath of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey, please take the time to read my poem. Coldplay wrote a song in Miami, Houston #1. The song inspired this poem. To listen to their song, search online search engines or Youtube.

I used to complain about the sun,

So hot, so blinding.

Rain was something that just happens.

The water so serene;

Plague of death and dismay.

Floods, food shortage, electricity outage,

Loss of homes, loss of lives

All in books, all on news.

Didn’t feel real til I was near.

Opened my eyes;

Opened my heart;

Brain’s on wire;

How can I help?

Treacherous, dangerous,

But never chainless.

As the sun rises,

The water dries,

The memories remain.

Harvey stole materials,

But never the hearts of Texas.

Enemies, friends,

Strangers, acquaintances,

Formed a bond, united as one

Helping those in need.

Damage is done.

But Harvey has not won.

CoverGirl’s Clean Matte bb cream

For years I never understood what BB and CC creams are for. I read on one of Avon’s brochures that BB creams are more lightweight and better for summer. Before last winter ended, I was getting in the habit of wearing a liquid foundation daily. Then spring and summer had to ruin that by breaking my face out.

I decided to give a BB cream a try. I went drugstore style, rather than a high-end brand. On my face is #550 medium/deep.

I find this is easy and quick to apply. Looking at my face, it’s like there’s nothing there.

The back of this BB cream tube states: “CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream provides the perfect amount of coverage to even skin tone, hide blemishes, and keep you shine free all day!”

I applied this around 5:40/5:50 PM. It is now 6:03 PM; therefore, I cannot tell you how long this will last right now. I am hoping to use this tomorrow.

CoverGirl BB Cream is oil-free, won’t clog pores, suitable for sensitive skin, and lasts all day.

Milani Moisture Lock Oil-Infused Lip Treatment on Sale!

Each oil-infused lip treatment runs about $5-6. I had a store credit from CVS. So I decided to get one. I went to the cashier and the lady told me I owed $3 and something. I asked her are they on sale. She said it was for $2.99. They removed the sale tags due to the sale ending today and a new one starting tomorrow. So for those who love or want to try Milani’s oil-infused lip treatment, but don’t want to spend $5-6 on it, here’s your chance to purchase one for $2.99 at CVS.

On my lips right now: #03 Rejuvenating Peach Mango.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

At first, I wasn’t going to buy this. Then, sitting and reading it at Barnes and Noble’s Starbucks made me want it. But hey, it’s $29 for the hardcopy. I heard it was about $18 at Target. Therefore, after reading 20 pages, I left.

I went straight to Target hoping they had some left. They had tons. The book itself is sold for $17.99; however, in stores it is on sale $19 with a “free” poster as the cashier told me. The poster alone is $1.49 and is sold only at Target.

Looking at the receipt, you would think the book would be priced $17.99 and a free poster. I thought that made sense to me, since the book by itself is that price. This is all judging from what I read on the receipt. Either way, purchasing from Target saved money considering the same exact book can be bought for $26 at Barnes and Noble and the inside cover of the book selling price is $29.99. It’s a good deal.

I read today about 40 pages. Last month since I went to PA, I had not been in the mood to finish a book. Therefore, my read one book a month resolution failed for July. I hope to go back to the book I was reading that time. Currently, I think I will be focusing on this one- the 8th book of Harry Potter.

This is a special rehearsal edition script and I read somewhere at Barnes and Noble this book is only sold for sometime in stores.

The front cover looks like a bird’s nest with wings and a child looking scared inside it. The title of the novel is: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two. This is based on an original new story by JK Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne. This book was released last month. It is about 300 some pages long.

The back of the book:

I am thinking there are many series (tv, movies, books, etc) we had to say farewell to, but Harry Potter will not be one of them. At least, not for awhile.

Kat Von D’s Limited Edition Palette: Serpentina

I had very little fall out because I removed the excess before applying. Usually, there’s a lot more fall out with her previous palettes I have tried due to not removing excess.

My eyes have a slight irritation after applying. I am hoping I don’t get allergies with these eyeshadows. It’s so cute and jewel toned, which I’ve been wanting. It’s easily blendable, too! I was amazed by that because I suck at applying eyeshadows.
