Sephora’s Fearless

Hi everyone! How are you?

Sephora is running a charity work (unsure start date). They made a really beautiful shade in a gorgeous red bulleted container similar to its black bullets containing matte and subtle sheen.

This deep berry red shade of lipstick is Rouge cream #100 Fearless.

For every lipstick sold, they will give $10 to Sephora Stands.

When I think of Fearless, I think of Taylor Swift’s Fearless song. I have been wanting a shade called Fearless, but what I have tried would be too bold or bright for me. This feels just right. This shade, I believe is perfect for Autumn season, which is coming soon.

This lipstick is limited edition, but I hope Sephora brings it back after awhile. One sales rep said they will be bringing out other shades as well!

Usually, red shades are too bold for me. I feel like it’s too much for work and daily wear. Few days ago, my mind changed. I’ve been wanting red lips. I found this one, tried it on, and loved it.

This will run you $12.50 (without taxes). They have more shades in black tube, which are not part of the charity. From what I hear, only Sephora stores are selling it. I didn’t find it at JcPennys Sephora and the sales rep at mine had no idea about it.

I wish they had done this for all Sephora’s, JcPenny’s included. But that’s up to them.

I love this lipstick a lot. It’s not too bold, not bright, and makes me comfortable. I feel like I can wear this everyday, even at work, and not be self conscious that I have a popping color on my lips or my head screaming, “MAY DAY! MAY DAY! TOO MUCH! TOO MUCH!

I will be applying this on today and see how it wears. I loved how it wore yesterday, but it was only for a few hours.

Happy Labor Day to all!

Julep Zodiac Nail Polish & Matte Lip Mousse

“If you can put it on, you can pull it off. #bravepretty” -Julep

Hello, everyone. After a long struggle in removing my package from the mailbox, I have received my package from Julep! I ordered their Zodiac nail polish collection and a It’s Whipped: Matte Lip Mousse in Beso.

Beso is an orange shade. I love their “Kiss Me” shade. However, this orange shade does not apply very well for me. I feel like the coverage was not great. I had to apply at least 2-3 coats before my dark area was covered. It looks and feels less smooth. This orange shade is not that bad. I would wear it if only I did not have to apply too much and it felt a little more smoother. But I will try again! These matte whipped mousses sell for $16 each.

The next and final thing I had in the package, Zodiac collection nail polishes.

This collection comes with 12 nail polishes nicely packaged. The packaging is adorable. This also comes with a small booklet talking about each Zodiac polish shade. This collection is a $168 value priced at $98. I have not yet tried these shimmering 12 month shades, but they look so gorgeous I plan on trying it soon. As soon as my Formula X ones begin fading off my nails.

Nyx’s Butter Lipsticks!

So buttery and so moisturizing. These bulleted butters have lasted mostly all day for me with a little amount of fading. Adding The Body Shop’s Mango Lip Butter made these lipsticks look and feel so good after my break ended. That, and reapplying if I didn’t want to use the lip butter. Either way, this lipstick gave me options!

Originally, I had purchased Licorice, Moonlit Night, and Thunderstorm. These I kept among the ones I purchased later to try.

Today, I added two more shades into my collection and plan on adding more soon because Ulta is having a sale on Nyx lip products! Both in store and online, Nyx’s Butter Lipsticks are sold for $3.99. That’s half the price! Also, Nyx’s other products, I believe, are included in this sale.

*When you visit your Ulta stores, be sure to sign up for their October drawing if they have one. You can choose to donate to Breast Cancer Awareness as well. If you choose not to, you can still sign up for the drawing, which ends at the end of this month.*

The first new addition to my 5 lipsticks from Nyx’s Butter Lipstick collection- Lifeguard. A beautiful dark red shade. This and Mary Jane were my favorite I tried today. I didn’t realize they were on sale until I saw the cashier ring them up. Otherwise, I’d have purchased a few more shades.

Next addition- Ripe Berry. I thought this would be more pigmented or darker for some reason. But it looked more nude on me. Can’t complain though as I like this as a nude color on me. I don’t have many nudes and I rarely like nude shades. I wonder if it looks darker on other skin tones?

Thunderstorm! Though, thunderstorms are often not fancied, this beautiful shade is gorgeous on the lips. I love this shade and it was one of the three I first purchased. For me, this is as dark as it gets and I’m quite happy with that because it doesn’t overwhelm me or worry me if it’s work appropriate or too much. I love this color!

Moonlit Night (a.k.a. Licorice)- I have two of these considering one store sold it as Licorice and another as Moonlit Night. Didn’t realize they were the exact same shade at that time (face palm!). This shade isn’t one I’d wear often. I love the color and would have used it more daily back when I was into the dark, bolds. Now, I feel this shade is too much on me. I used to not be able to wear any light colors, only dark. Amazing how things can change. Now, after used to of lighter and more different, vibrant colors- thunderstorm from Nyx, Rose Pop and Pow from Clinique, I can no longer see myself in that dark shade.
I love these Butter Lipsticks! They are my favorite drugstore brand lipsticks. They feel buttery and moisturizing. There’s a variety of shades to pick from. Therefore, there’s a shade for everyone! It last most of the day. You can reapply or add a nice lip butter or balm over the nice slightly faded stained lips.

Paired with Smashbox’s gel Mattifier, you can transform this Buttery texture from a creamy/buttery to a Mattified finish. See example below with Nyx’s Lifeguard.

Baby Step 1

Okay, so I signed up for Financial Peace University. For those of you who don’t know what it is, have you heard of Dave Ramsey? If so, that might help you out. If not, well, I’m fairly new in knowing about him and FPU.
But the church I attend is offering a 9 week session on managing/budgeting money. If you don’t know anything about Dave Ramsey, I actually had no clue until last Saturday when finding some YouTube videos of his talks.
Dave Ramsey talks a lot about how to get out of debt and be at financial peace. There are 7 steps that he calls baby steps. The first baby step is to save $1,000 in emergency fund as quickly as possible.
When hearing this, I’m like, “How in the world can I save that much quickly?” Quickly as in a month or two. I thought of the bags I have. I have two bags that I received free from Macys purchasing Taylor Swift’s perfumes. I also received a bag free from them purchasing a Selena Gomez’s perfume. I have a fossile bag that looks nice still and I barely use it. I also have bags I purchased from Walmart. I have more bags than I need. So that’s my first thing I could sell.
Speaking of perfumes, can you sell used to barely used perfumes? I have Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted that I cannot use for my poor nose does not tolerate the scent anymore. I also have a Red Door from Elizabeth Arden, Selena Gomez’s perfume, and a few Bath and Body Works ones. Would those be something I could sell? Or would it be like makeup, once used no one would really want to use it or even buy it.

Below shows two bags I could sell. What do you think? How much would they sell for? The Lipstick shape bag is Selena Gomez’s and the other is one of Taylor Swift’s.

Milani Moisture Lock Oil-Infused Lip Treatment on Sale!

Each oil-infused lip treatment runs about $5-6. I had a store credit from CVS. So I decided to get one. I went to the cashier and the lady told me I owed $3 and something. I asked her are they on sale. She said it was for $2.99. They removed the sale tags due to the sale ending today and a new one starting tomorrow. So for those who love or want to try Milani’s oil-infused lip treatment, but don’t want to spend $5-6 on it, here’s your chance to purchase one for $2.99 at CVS.

On my lips right now: #03 Rejuvenating Peach Mango.
