Hello everyone. Happy Saturday!
I have been trying Lancôme’s Juicy Shakers this week and been loving them. I had also tried on their matte shaker in Kiss Me Chérie. This is a nice deep brick red shade.
With these matte shakers, you may have to shake really hard just to hear the clicking sounds and to access the pigmentation on your first use. At least, I had to and one YouTube reviewer had claimed the same.
A highly pigmented matte liquid lipstick, delivering intense color payoff with a lightweight, second-skin feel that wears comfortably throughout the day without drying. Its pillow-like cushion applicator allows for precise application- no streaks or smudges.
The applicator is a big sponge, but I have no problems with it.
Applying this onto my lips, it feels similar to applying Revlon’s Moisture Stain; but less watery. One Influenster commented it’s like a stain. There is a watery texture and I can see how the commenter would think that.
On the lips applied, this feels lightweight. I know something’s on my lips. I can feel it. To me, it feels like water on my lips.
This will stain quickly. I tried removing this within a minute or two thinking I wanted to try something else. You will have to use makeup remover or oil or even an easy liquid lipstick removal such as the new Maybelline one.
Back to the matte shaker. With this shade, I have applied Lancôme’s Lip Lover’s in 355 and 362. I received a compliment from a Lancôme rep at Ulta when trying 355 on my already stained “Kiss Me Chérie”.
This doesn’t dry out my lips. However, once stained, it can be drying. It’s like any other lipstick that fades without reapplication. But I like this more than Revlon’s Moisture Stain.
Revlon’s felt drying more and didn’t last all day for me.
Lancôme’s matte shaker, if drying, can be paired up with their last year’s Juicy Shakers or Lip Lovers collection. This will bring back the moisture without removing the stain.
Have you tried these shakers?
