Hello everyone. I finally received my Proactiv+ kit I had ordered June 1st. I tried the older Proactiv before. This new one I had ordered a few years ago, however, didn’t give it much of a chance. So, I wanted to try again.
This is me before removing my eye makeup. My lips lightly stained from a previous lipstick I used- Lipstick Queen’s “Medieval”.
I used Botanics Micellar water, sold at Target, to remove my makeup. However, it didn’t remove all of it. So, I had some Mary Kay makeup remover left from previous years. The Mary Kay one did way better in removing the makeup from this morning and didn’t smear it on my face like the Botanics did.
Next, I used Proactiv’s first step:
I tried massaging for two minutes, but I feel after one minute the product was dried out enough I couldn’t massage it unless I put more water. Therefore, I rinsed it all off. I then patted my face dry with a towel.
After the Skin Smoothing Exfoliator, I placed this Blackhead Dissolving Gel on my face for as the directions says five minutes. I went a little overboard leaving it on my face longer while blogging.
Then I applied the Eye Brightening Serum under my eye areas:
I didn’t see much brightness and it felt like it had dried quickly; however, I did put a little. Maybe I needed to add more?
With Pore Targeting Treatment:
Lastly, I applied Complexion Perfecting Hydrator:
How could I forget this step!?!? No, seriously, I almost forgot applying this to my face. I was wondering why my face felt and looked so blah and dry. hehe I just placed this on a few minutes after the Pore Targeting Treatment.
My face feels less dry, still dry, but not as much as before. I feel like my face went from blah to bright. The bumps I somehow had lessened on the side of my face. I don’t think you can tell by this picture. But I can see and feel the difference of the bumps.
For those who are thinking, “Why am I using the Blackhead Dissolving Gel, rather than the one for acne?” Well, I have been told I have blackhead problems, which is why I tried that one. I do want to switch and try the other one still.
From the first picture to this, do you see any difference? If so, let me know! Thanks for reading.
