Hello everyone, how are you?
I know in a previous post I stated I will finish the book when I go back to PA. However, my Dad’s birthday is coming next month. So, I wanted to publish it on that day. I finalized the book and submitted it for preorder on Amazon Kindle. Tomorrow I will be working on submitting the work to Barnes and Noble Nook.
The book is called, The Rabbit and Its Tail. In a previous blog post, I mentioned a little about this story. But for those who didn’t have a chance to read it will now.
This is a short story about a very competitive and adventurous rabbit named Pearl. One day after coming in third in a race with her fox friends, she wished her short, cotton-fur-ball tail to be long like the foxes.
After the race, Pearl drifts off meeting a friendly beaver named Trevor tries to convey a rabbits tail is just as nice by asking, “What’s wrong with a rabbit’s tail?” Knowing Pearl is desperate for fox tail, he gives her a challenge. If she does this, he said she would have a tail like the foxes.
When Pearl’s wish comes true, she becomes prideful and even more competitive. Racing with the foxes, she quickly learns the value of a rabbit’s tail and the importance of accepting herself as she is.
That’s it. That’s the summary. What do you all think? Did I give too much information? As of right now, this short story will only be available in Kindle and Nook formats.
I hope you enjoyed the summary and if you want a chance to purchase the book, I will post the preorder site once Amazon post online.
I am grateful to finish this book. This is the first I started and finished! My first drafts I made I did not feel comfortable sharing thinking the dialogue sucks or its stupid. I sent to a few, which maybe a bit more than a few friends for feedback.
One Facebook friend helped me through this publishing process and I thank him so much for that! He gave me information on how to submit to Amazon and Kindle and answered my questions as best he could.
After all the feedbacks I became more confident in what I was writing and am happy with the final results! However, will keep editing until the final deadline.
Thank you all for your time! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend-what’s left of it, at least. I am very tired. It’s past 2AM here. So I will head to dreamland.
